How does the technology work?
The AirTower core contains a broad-spectrum UV light and when this light is activated it fires targeted UV light onto the surrounding chamber. The chamber has 4 separate metallic catalyst layers (Titanium, Silver, Copper and Rhodium) and these layers are hydrophilic meaning that the chamber attracts H20 (Water) from the air when active.
Combined with a unique magnetic energy reaction this creates an abundance of hydrogen and oxygen within the chamber.
Each metallic layer then creates a particular action – breaks bonds, releases electrons, holds and releases atoms and steals other electrons.
- Titanium dioxide (TiO2)
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a multifaceted compound, It’s the stuff that makes toothpaste white and paint opaque. However, TiO2 is also a potent photocatalyst that can break down almost any organic compound.

Silver speeds up this titanium reaction which helps decompose the pollutants 3-times faster.

As does Copper which has a unique ability to work with hydrogen and this also improves the functions of titanium.

Advanced Oxidation Process
The action of the germicidal UV light rays passing through the mesh chamber starts an advanced oxidation process. This process happens both on the surface and within the air that passes through the chamber.
It is this reaction that produces the unique air purifying molecules of the AirTower.

Simple Summary of the AirTower
In very simple terms there are three elements at work in the AirTower to produce ionized hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl OH and other purifying effects.
- A catalytic surface comprised of titanium dioxide, silver, copper and rhodium
- Moisture in the air flowing through the mesh chamber
- A UV light that interacts with the moisture on the catalytic surface
When combined these three elements work in tandem to release ionized hydrogen peroxides, which flow through natural air movements in your home or car.
Because the hydrogen peroxide molecules are ionized, they function like a magnet and attach to mould, bacteria, virus’, dust, dander, pollen, VOCs and other contaminants in the air.
Once attached to these items, they are chemically altered and neutralized. Hydroxyl (- OH) are safe naturally occurring molecules that are created in our atmosphere when the sun’s ultraviolet rays react with water vapour.
The AirTower replicates this natural process and Hydroxyl is known to kill microorganisms in the air and is safe to use in-door where people are present. The basis of the AirTower is an electromagnetism reaction to the air with the advanced UV light.
The “magnetic” attraction also causes particulates in the air to increase in size and weight, making it easier for you to remove them.

Technical Explanation
The basis of the AirTower is an electromagnetism reaction to the air with the advanced UV light.
The more technical explanation of the AirTower is the process converts water (H2O) molecules into ionized hydrogen peroxide (H2O2-) and Hydroxyl (- OH) both of which are extremely effective and useful for disinfection.
- The AirTower creates an oxidation plasma consisting of ionized hydroperoxides, superoxide ions and hydroxide ions.
- The oxidants created then destroy the harmful microbes by changing the molecular structure of the pollutant or by cell lysis.
- These oxidizers are “friendly,” which means that they revert to oxygen and hydrogen after the oxidation of the pollutant.
- No ozone or other harmful element is ever created during the process.
Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful oxidant that is commonly used by doctors to disinfect wounds. After reacting with organisms like bacteria,
Hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water (H2O) and oxygen (O2), leaving nothing harmful to the environment.
The AirTower’s unique photocatalyst is able to efficiently turn water and oxygen into hydrogen peroxide, which is then ionized and released to the air. The concentration of H2O2- generated by the AirTower is between 0.01 and 0.02 ppm, equivalent to that of the natural environment.
- H2O2- has amazing deodorization and strong bacteriostatic property’s and H2O2- at 0.01 ppm is the most effective technology to control infection and microbial growth. 0.01 ppm is equivalent to 177,000,000,000,000,000 molecules in a cubic volume of 10cm x 10cm x 10cm.
- Hydroxyl radicals (-OH) are created naturally in the earth’s atmosphere when the sun’s ultraviolent rays cause a series of reactions to break apart water vapor (H2O).
- Hydroxyl radicals rapidly decompose chemicals in the air and play a crucial role in keeping the earth’s atmosphere clear of harmful organic and inorganic compounds.
- Hydroxyl radicals, in essence, dismantle the molecular structure of odours and VOCs, and react so quickly that few ever make it into indoor environments. The half-life of a hydroxyl radical is less than one second; however, they form a chain reaction where other radicals are formed, and even more hydroxyls, to continue the cleaning process.
- Hydroxyls will react with as many as 5,000 different chemicals and compounds, to eliminate a very wide range of odours and VOCs and decompose viruses, bacteria, moulds and volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde, ammonia, nitrogen, radon, sulphur dioxide and benzene in the air and on the surface of objects.

Amazing Air Purifier
Amazing product! I was very skeptical to start with as I suffer with every allergy going and have tried so many things over the years. This arrived in the last week and I immediately plugged this in and then went about my normal day at home working. I was so busy that I had forgotten that it was switched on, until I stopped for my later than usual lunch break to walk the dog. OMG it was at that point I realised my eyes were no longer itching and I could tell the air was cleaner.
